The public hearings may be held in person at City Hall at 4362 Peachtree Road, Brookhaven and will also be held by VIRTUAL MEETING on June 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. After the final public hearing, the millage rate will be formally adopted at the June 29, 2021 meeting at 7:00 p.m.

The City of Brookhaven City Council does hereby announce that the millage rate will be set at a meeting to be held virtually by the City of Brookhaven on June 29, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. Public participation details of this virtual meeting will be provided in the regular agenda announcement. Pursuant to the requirements of O.C.G.A Section 48-5-32 does hereby publish the presentation of the current year’s tax digest and levy, along with the history of the tax digest and levy for the past five years (PDF – 28 KB).

The anticipated millage rate in 2021 is 2.74 mills, the same rate which has been in effect since 2016. Due to the revaluation of real property tax assessments, the proposed 2.74 millage rate results in an increase in property tax by 0.056 percent under the Rollback Millage rate. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 2.684 mills.
