Brookhaven Multimodal Plan Input – DEADLINE Friday, March 1st!

  • by

The City of Brookhaven is updating its 2016 Bicycle, Pedestrian and Trail Plan with a Multimodal Study being conducted by its consultant, Alta Planning + Design. The initial plan has been published and input is being requested. All of the published documents can be found on the city’s website at https://brookhavenga.gov/publicworks/page/multimodal-study

MCNA has reviewed all of the documents and submitted questions and feedback to the consultant via the email address: multimodalstudy@BrookhavenGA.gov. We have also provided the same to District 1 councilperson Michael Diaz (michael.diaz@brookhavenga.gov). We are encouraging homeowners to provide input prior to the March 1st, 2024 deadline.

Community Green Survey Results

Results of the Community Green Survey are in! The survey was open to residents from January 1st through January 22nd. We received a total of 97 responses, with respondents overwhelmingly in favor of the original 2016 design for an “open space field” versus 2019/2020 plans that include a stage, concrete pavement, and retaining/seating walls.

MCNA Update June 2020

A new Murphey Candler Neighborhood Association board was elected in April 2020. We have been hard at work creating a new website (you’re looking at it!), contacting local officials & establishing our positions on current issues affecting the neighborhood.

We are holding our next membership meeting via Zoom call on Wednesday, June 24th from 7-8pm. The meeting will be open to members only. See the event page for more detail.
